Our MBA students are participating in Walk MS tomorrow. They have been working very hard to raise money to aid in research to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. We had a bake sale yesterday that was very successful. The bake sale and the "Pie a Professor" event raised almost $1,000. The total amount Walton's Team MBA has raised is over $4,000.
The Pie a Professor event was very popular. Several MBA instructors volunteered to participate. Each professor had a money jar. Donations in the jar made in coins added to the total amount and donations made in dollars subtracted from the amount in the jar. The one with the highest total gets a pie in the face. There was also a silent auction to determine who gets to throw the pie.
The recipient of the pie in the face will be Dr. Tom Jensen, head of our Marketing Department and the pie thrower will be Mikal Murders, first year Walton MBA student.
The 2.5 mile walk is in the morning. Rain, snow, sleet - we will be there supporting this worthy cause.
